StreamNes was born out of a simple frustration. Back in 2023, a small group of radio enthusiasts and audio engineers sat around a cluttered desk, trying to find a reliable way to listen to internet radio. Every directory they tried was the same story — sluggish interfaces, broken stream links, aggressive pop-ups, and databases that hadn't been updated in years. There had to be a better way.

So we built one.

Our Mission

StreamNes exists for one reason: to build the most comprehensive, fast, and user-friendly internet radio directory on the web. We believe that radio — one of the oldest forms of broadcast media — deserves a modern home. Whether you're tuning into jazz from New Orleans, catching the morning news from London, or discovering an underground electronic station in Berlin, StreamNes puts the entire world of radio at your fingertips.

What We Do

Running a radio directory sounds straightforward until you realize how many things can go wrong. Streams go offline. URLs change. Stations rebrand, merge, or disappear overnight. That's why we don't just scrape data from other sources and call it a day.

Our editorial and technical teams manually verify every stream URL in our database. We test audio quality across different bitrates, check for consistent uptime, and categorize each station by genre, country, and language. When a station goes dark, we flag it, investigate, and either restore the correct link or remove it from the directory so you never hit a dead end.

As of today, our database includes over 14,000 verified radio stations spanning more than 120 countries and 50 languages. That number grows every week as we onboard new stations and re-verify existing ones on a monthly cycle.

StreamNes was founded by a small, dedicated editorial team that genuinely loves radio. We're a mix of journalists, audio engineers, and web developers who came together around a shared belief that internet radio deserves better infrastructure.

Our Quality Commitment

We take accuracy seriously. Every station in the StreamNes directory has been tested for three things: stream stability, audio clarity, and content accuracy. We don't list stations we haven't verified, and we don't keep stations that repeatedly fail our checks.

Our monthly re-verification process means the directory stays current. If a station changes its stream URL, rebrands, or shifts genres, we catch it. If a station goes permanently offline, we remove it rather than leaving a broken link in the catalog. It's more work, but it's the only way to run a directory that people can actually trust.
